Description: Offering paid part-time internships during the academic year from September through May. Under the mentorship of Democracy Matters staff, interns: Build coalitions, Organize teach-ins, Run workshops, Coordinate with other colleges in sponsoring reform legislation, Lobby and educate elected officials, and Run petition drives. Democracy Matters provides undergraudate inters with a stipend of $500 per semester, professional support a wide range of materials, funding for campus activities, and opportunities to participate in regional and national conferences.

Description: The Legislative intern program was established to include student interns in the State Legislature by allowing them to observe and participate in the legislative process of State Government. The internship will coincide with the 2009 Regular Session of the Legislature, Feb 2, 2009 - May 18, 2009. Interns will work approximately 32 hours per week, Mon - Thurs., 8:30 - 4:30. Technology Support Co-op
Requirements: Degree in Computer Science
Description: The student will be housed in the Technical Personnel's central office. This student will work along with a Tech. personnel this semester and/or Summer at the Anniston City Schools. The hours of operations are from 7:30 - 3:30 p.m. Typical duties will be pulling cables, loading software, providing trouble shooting experience, training staff on trouble shooting, setting up computers and placing equipment in desired locations.

Co-Op and Intern Program
Requirements: Students must be a U.S. citizens and possess the capability to receive a Government Security Clearance. Participants in the Internship program will be expected to work a minimum of 12 hours per week. Co-Op students will be expected to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Description: As an employee of ISC, each participant (student) will be expected to comply with all policies and procedures of the company. It will be the employee's responsibility to coordinate participation and credit toward a degree with the university. Students must submit transcripts prior to acceptance and provide copies of grades and/or transcripts which indicate progression toward a degree in the related field.
